Worrier? Or Warrior?

Hello Friends,

I worry.

A lot.

Sometimes the worry comes out of nowhere. Sometimes an event or occurrence during the day causes my mind to to spin into a number of scenarios, and I immediately start frantically thinking about how I can solve the problem or find a solution.

It is amazing how you find yourself worrying about things you never thought you would when you become a mother. I have literally worried myself into a tizzy! I now have three wrinkles across my forehead that DO NOT GO AWAY...one for each child, okay. They don't tell you about "the worry" when you are starting your family.

Well I'm going to keep it real with you ladies. If you are expecting or starting a family, please know that YOU WILL WORRY LIKE YOU'VE NEVER WORRIED BEFORE. With all of the love and joy that comes with a sweet babe, there also comes a whole other set of emotions as well. One of these emotions is indeed worry.

Fear not sweet mama. There is hope for you yet, as there is one who can give you "Perfect Peace". Refer to Isaiah 26:3-4:

" Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength."

~Isaiah 26:3-4

You see, God is always with you in this journey of motherhood. Do not waste your time and compromise your health by worrying about things that you can not control. Have faith in the God who gives you strength to get through anything, Mothers like to have a sense of control over things.....but I'm sorry sister...this is not the way. We can't have control over everything. The best thing for you to do is to give all of your troubles, your family, your children to God...the only One who can truly change your circumstances.

Look, I am with you. I worry every day....I am trying my best to relinquish control and all of my worries to God because I AM making myself sick. But mostly because I want to have strong faith in God. Even though I know He has given me these children to raise in His glory and further His kingdom, I also know that He brings us to motherhood in an effort to draw US closer to Him. I keep emphasizing the power that God gives us as a mother, because it's so important to understand how strong you are now. Do not undermine that strength with worry. Be a warrior....the warrior that God made you to be. Not a worrier. Please be encouraged ladies...and no worries.
